Certification
For those seeking Post-Acute Care Certification to use the credentials PAC-C (Post-Acute Care Certified) after their title, participants will have to complete the Post-Acute Care Course by following the same steps for the CEU process but, upon completion, will also be granted Post-Acute Care certification at no additional charge. Post-Acute Care certification is valid for two years. Participants will need to complete course again every two years for continued certification and right to continue to use PAC-C credentials.
Wound Care Prevention & Management

Post-Acute Care Certification (PAC-C)
Once you have successfully completed the Post-Acute Care Course in its entirety, you are eligible to register for AAPACE’s Post-Acute Care Certification program. Upon achieving Post-Acute Care Certification through AAPACE, you will be authorized to use the credentials PAC-C (Post-Acute Care Certified) after your name and title. These credentials are to be placed after your highest degree earned. For example, for a Licensed Practical Nurse whose name is Jennifer Smith, they would write their name and credentials as follows:

Certification is optional. However, once certified, you will need to retake the required courses and re-submit your certification registration application every 2 years if you wish to continue to be post-acute care certified. To renew your 2-year certification, you must complete each course again as the content is routinely updated to adhere to current healthcare standards. All courses must be completed within a 6-month period. Once the course is completed again, you can re-register to have your certification renewed for another 2-year window.
If you choose not to pursue certification, you will still receive continuing education credit for the course, but you will not be authorized to use the credentials PAC-C.
